Demand for wall cladding is growing in Russia

A growing Russian market for PVC wall cladding has led Terna Polymer in Moscow to buy two extrusion lines from Cincinnati Extrusion.

SMS Plastics Technologies, owner of Cincinnati, said much of the demand for so-called “siding” profiles is being met by imports from the US, Canada and Eastern Europe.

Annual Russian production is currently only 36,400 tonnes, with 76% used in restoration of old public buildings and 20% going into new buildings.

The two Cincinnati lines delivered to Terna are each equipped with two twin screw extruders, with output of 920kg/hour on each line. The lines are also equipped with units for embossing, calibration, hole and slot punching and profile cutting.
