The group will sell Cold Jet’s dry ice blasting systems

Husky Injection Molding Systems has signed an exclusive agreement to sell Cold Jet’s line of dry-ice blast cleaning systems for PET preform moulds.

Husky is a leading maker of PET moulds and production systems and says its customers will benefit from reduced downtime during mould cleaning. Husky vice president of PET Mike Urquhart said: “Mould cleaning can be a time-consuming process, particularly for high cavitation moulds.”

The Canadian company said Cold Jet’s systems can decrease cleaning time by 50-75%. Cold Jet’s T-2 and AeRO 75 systems use dry ice particles that are propelled at high velocities to blast contaminants from the mould surface. No rinsing or drying is required as the dry ice evaporates on contact.

President and CEO of Cold Jet Gene Cooke said: “Cold Jet is pleased to announce our relationship with this industry leader.”
