Targi Kielce will run a plastics show in the Ukraine in November

Targi Kielce, which organises an annual plastics trade fair in its native Poland, has set its sights further east. The company is to run a version of its Plastpol exhibition in the Ukraine later this year. The show, called Plastukraina, will be held at the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev, on 23-25 November.

The organiser says that increased trading between the two countries is one reason for running the show: in 2003, Ukraine overtook Russia as Poland’s largest export market. Plastics and rubber accounted for 11% of this total, or $171m (E140m). This is reflected in the analysis of foreign visitors to Plastpol: only Germany sent more people to the show than Ukraine.
