Organiser Schall said a dedicated extrusion fair was unnecessaryFakuma, the German plastics trade fair, will dedicate a hall to extrusion at its next event in October 2005.
The event has in the past focused on injection moulding, but following discussions with exhibitors and other interested parties, show organiser P.E. Schall concluded it should also focus on extrusion. The extrusion industry exhibits at Fakuma 2005 will be found in Hall 6, at the eastern entrance to the Friedrichshafen fairground. Fakuma is held every year except when the K show is on. Schall’s decison comes shortly after the announcement by Demat, organiser of the Euromold fair, that it will launch its own dedicated extrusion fair in February 2005 (PRW.com 6 July). Schall said there was no desire in the industry for a standalone fair dedicated to extrusion, in order to avoid a “flood of exhibitions”. The company added that plastics fairs such as Interplas and Europlast have lost international importance. It therefore saw Fakuma as an appropriate event for the extrusion industry and expects the new hall to attract visitors from all over Europe and from CIS states. Source: PRW.com Previous news |
