The 60-tonne machine will be the first in a range from 40 to 100 tonnes
Italian injection moulding machinery manufacturer Sandretto will show its first all-electric drive machine at K2004.
The fully functioning 60-tonne machine on show will be part of a new range of all-electric machines from Sandretto stretching from 40 to 100 tonnes clamping force. In an unconventional move for a new product launch, Sandretto – a subsidiary of the Cannon Group – will encourage visitors at K to suggest a name for the new range. Cannon group communications director Massimo Taverna told PRW.com that the new machine will have two platens, but will not use a toggle clamping system. He added that by use of a patented system to synchronise the pressure-building stage using screws acting on the four columns independently from the closing phase, the closing system mechanical components will be relieved from stress and thereby ensure more precise parallelism of the platens.
