VitroTech has signed a distribution deal with SumitomoVitroTech has signed a distribution deal with Sumitomo US-based VitroTech has begun to supply its glass additive Vitrolite worldwide, following a distribution deal with Sumitomo Corporation. The deal follows several months of product testing by Sumitomo. “We expect Vitrolite to make a positive impact in the polymer world,” said Yojiro Ishabashi of Sumitomo Corporation in the US. Vitrolite, which is based on amorphous aluminosilicate, can reduce polymer viscosity and part cycle times. It has recently been adopted by US packaging company Ropak, part of the Linpac group. Vitrolite can be used in injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion, usually at a loading of 1% or below. It can be used in a wide selection of polymers. The company has two other additive products based on aluminosilicate – for purging and for coating. Source: PRW.com Previous news |
