ETPV grades can be injection moulded, extruded and blow mouldedETPV grades can be injection moulded, extruded and blow moulded DuPont Engineering Polymers is launching a thermoplastic elastomer to extend its position in this fast growing field. Its ETPV product combines a high temperature polyamide with a crosslinked polyester and is intended to sit below its Hytrel materials in an enlarged TPE portfolio, filling a gap the company has identified. Properties of the ETPV range, initially comprising two grades, include temperature range of –40°C to 160°C. Efforts to raise the upper limit to 170°C are underway, the company said. The material can be injection moulded, extruded and blow moulded. Details of the range were released at a DuPont Engineering Polymers event in Austria to highlight to company’s K fair offering.
