Germany private equity investors have bought SIG Kautex and SIG BlowtecGermany private equity investors have bought SIG Kautex and SIG Blowtec SIG has sold its extrusion machinery businesses to German private equity investors Adcuram Beteiligungs for an undisclosed sum. Adcuram will take ownership of SIG Kautex, which produces extruders for the automotive industry, and SIG Blowtec, which makes machines extruding plastic containers, from 1 May. Last year SIG Kautex made net sales of E43m and had around 200 employees; SIG Blowtec’s sales were E37m, it employed about 150 staff. The divestment completes SIG’s transformation into a focused beverages packaging and packaging machinery group. Adcuram Beteiligungs was established last year to specialise in the acquisition of medium-sized companies in the manufacturing sector.
