Rohm Molding Compounds Presents Innovations at MedtecRohm Molding Compounds Presents Innovations at Medtec ![]() The multiphase plastic CYROLITE® is ideal for the disposable instruments increasingly being used in hospitals and doctor's offices. It meets all physiological requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI, can be sterilized without any problems by means of ETO gas and gamma radiation, and is resistant to many chemicals. CYROLITE® molding compound, a copolymer based on methacrylate, butadiene and styrene, is moreover remarkably clear and transparent, and shows extreme impact strength even at low temperatures. Owing to its good flow, CYROLITE® is easy to process, allowing the problem-free filling of multi-cavity injection molds, for instance. Sixteen-cavity molds are often used to manufacture small medical engineering items from CYROLITE®. The specific properties of the MBS copolymer CYROLITE® make it particularly suitable for manufacturing functional components of dialysis sets and infusion systems such as filter housings, connectors, drip chambers and injection ports. Since CYROLITE® is astonishingly clear and trransparent for a multiphase plastic, it is also suitable for applications in connection with optical sensors. Two newly developed CYROLITE® products have recently been launched on the market. Grade CG-97 offers the highest possible resistance to grease and PVC plasticizers, and grade MED2 shows optimized resistance to alcohols and grease. Source: Plastinfo.ru Previous news |
