A co-operation agreement has been signed with Hebei B&S Group

Battenfeld’s entry to the Chinese extrusion market has been consolidated with a strategic co-operation agreement with major processor Hebei B&S Group.

The agreement, signed during the Chinaplas show in Beijing in December, formalises a relationship between HBS and Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering, Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik and Battenfeld Chen Extrusion Systems that has existed for some time. Battenfeld equipment at HBS includes blown film and cast PP sheet lines, PVC pipe lines and window extruders.

Under the agreement HBS makes the Battenfeld companies preferred vendors for extrusion equipment and will inform them about future projects so they may submit proposals for equipment and technical support. The processor will also share information with Battenfeld on market trends in China for flexible packaging and pipe and profile, product requirements of its end-user customers and other market information.

In return, the Battenfeld companies designate HBS as a key account and will share with the company new designs in extrusion equipment, and information and advice on applications. It will also provide scheduled sales and service calls, training and technical seminars.
