Haitian has established a base in Italy

Haitian, the Chinese manufacturer of injection moulding machines, is to start production in Italy. This is thought to be the first case of a Chinese machine maker setting up a manufacturing facility in Europe. Haitian has already supplied sample machines to a number of Italian moulders, from its new base in Brescia.

The company already has links with Europe: its joint venture with Demag of Germany – called Demag Haitian Plastics Machinery – produces injection moulding machines in Ningbo, China for the local market.

Haitian’s machines range from around 50 tonnes to 2,500 tonnes clamping force. It claims to be the largest supplier of machines in China, with a production volume of 6,000 units.
