Degussa launches three new matting agentsDegussa launches three new matting agents Degussa's Advanced Fillers & Pigments business unit is proud to announce a new product in its ACEMATT® line of matting agents, sold under the name ACEMATT® HK 440. In addition, the company has developed two "soft touch" matting agents for coatings that serve the automotive and plastics industries, among others. Designed to complement the well-established ACEMATT® HK 450 and HK 460 product range, ACEMATT® HK 440 is an untreated, highly efficient matting agent designed to meet market needs for matte surfaces in the coatings industry. Specifically developed for applications requiring low gloss to sheen ratios (60°/85°), ACEMATT® HK 440 provides an excellent surface appearance and good viscosity stability. Continuing Degussa's history of providing innovative matting agents, the company's new EXP 3200-1 and EXP 3300-1 products are designed to impart a soft, velvety touch. Formulated in coatings for automotives, electronics and plastics, EXP 3200-1 and EXP 3300-1 can provide a wide spectrum of tactile properties, from silky to velvety to almost rubber-like.
