Wemo shows 12 robots in operation at K 2016| Subj: Press-releses ![]() Wemo presents the biggest range of robots of all four series at K 2016, ever. A selection of their complete delivery programme, from a compact gripper up to the new xLine large robots with handling weights up to 60 kg will be on display at Wemo booth E 61 in hall 10. xDesign Linear Robots A highlight of Wemo robot systems are the linear robots of the xDesign series. They are the perfect allrounders for removing a wide variety of different plastic parts and and meet ultimate demands in terms of flexibility. The xDesign robots are available in four sizes with nominal handling weights from 3 kg to 20 kg. They are suitable for injection moulding machines with clamping forces ranging from 200 kN up to 8,000 kN. Two models of this series will be displayed: A Wemo 6-5 xDesign with handling weight up to 3 kg for machine sizes from 200 up to 1,000 kN and a 16-5 xDesign, handling weight up to 12 kg for machines from 2,500 up to 5,000 kN. sDesign Linear Robots For the removal of packaging parts, WEMO especially offers the sDesign series. These high-speed handling units are optimised for ultimate efficiency and speed. They have a cycle time of < 2.7 sec. and may be used both for sideways and top removal. Depending on size of the injection moulding machine, two different sizes of removal unit are available. The sDesign series is preferably used for the appropriate packaging parts and medical applications on two-platen and stack moulds. For thin-wall parts in the packaging industry, WEMO offers a special equipment for IML applications. A Wemo 8-5 sDesign with a handling weight of up to 3 kg for machine sizes from 750 up to 3,000 kN can be seen in operation at Wemo booth. xLine Robots For handling of large parts and multi-component machines Wemo expanded their xLine-series, presented at last Fakuma for the first time, by two new models. Three new robots for injection moulding machines with a clamping force range from 750 to 25,000 kN are available at xLine-series, now. This smaller models are used mainly for multi-component machines with vertical injection units. They guarantee a better access between the platens. The new 600 xLine will have premiere at Wemo booth. It is extremely rigid for handling of large parts, especially for applications in automotive and household devices industries with handling weights of 60 kg for injection moulding machines from 13,000 to 25,000 kN. Another exhibit of the new xLine series is a Wemo 120 xLine with a handling weight of up to 12 kg for a machine size range from 2,500 up to 5,000 kN. eDesign- and iDesign-Linear Robots The new linear robots of the eDesign and iDesign series round the range of WEMO robots up. Economy in use, ultimate efficiency and low energy consumption are striking features of this series. They are mainly used for gate removal units (pick and place) and for downstream machining processes. The series includes three models for removal weights ranging from 4 kg to 10 kg. A Wemo 6-5 eDesign for handling weights up to 4 kg and machine sizes from 250 up to 2,000 kN and a Wemo 3-5 iDesign, handling weight up to 3 kg, machine size from 750 up to 3,000 kN will be on display. As third exhibit, a Wemo 3-5 iDesign with 2 kg handling weight, Compact Pick and Place Roboter for Integration, will be presented. Industrie 4.0: Smart Automation by WIAP 4.0 (Wemo integrated Automation Process) Introduction of Industry 4.0 is just at the beginning. But not at Wemo. For several years, Wemo has been working on fitting industrial solutions. At K show, Wemo will present an example of already existing and new functions in a complete cell for more standardized and more cost-effective solutions for the plastics processing industry. To get online information of the production status, which is an important part of the Industry 4.0, Wemo will present two solutions for get connectivity to the production where ever they are. W-APP is a component to achieve zero downtime in the production process and the further step into industry 4.0. This app can be used to get full control of production, only one click away. Cycle times, status of each equipment and push messages are examples of functions into the W-APP. WRS - Wemo Remote Service software is a complete tool for connectivity and service, which are an important component in Industry 4.0 concept. This software makes it possible to connect robots and make online programming, service or follow the process globally and accessible where ever you are. Source: Wemo Previous news |
