The E46m plant will occupy 12,000 sq metres at its Dudelange site

Husky is to establish a E46m plant dedicated to making PET moulds at its Dudelange site in Luxembourg. Start-up of the 12,000 sq metre site is scheduled for the first quarter of 2006. The move will separate the production, assembly and testing of PET mould inserts from the hot runner and mould base plant. The latter plant will continue to supply components to the PET mould factory.

Husky Europe president David Cook said: “This investment will increase capacity in both moulds and hot runners and allow us to better serve customers with faster delivery times.” Once fully operational the facility will create 80 full-time positions. Apart from the hot runner and mould production, Husky also makes its large injection moulding machines in Dudelange.
