Regent Stretch has bought what SMS claims is the city's first cast stretch line

Russian cast stretch film manufacturer Regent Stretch recently purchased a 2.5 metre-wide turnkey line for simultaneous production of five 500mm rolls from the Swiss machinery firm. The line was a concept class 2020 standardised cast stretch film line, which SMS Folientechnik introduced last year. A spokeswoman told PRW.com that lines had also been sold to companies in Poland and Italy.

She said SMS Folientechnik was targeting the Eastern European and Russia markets because they were “one of the few markets that show a growth rate”. She also confirmed that SMS Folientechnik and related companies will be exhibiting at Interplas in 2005.
