EPSAN added high density products to its portfolio

Epsan (Turkey), Turkey’s biggest Polyamide compounder added high density products to its portfolio. After the capacity increase from 15.000 Mtons to 33.000 Mtons EPSAN keeps on adding specialty compounds to its portfolio. Within the last year company announced its High UV stabilised grades, Fast Cycle –Low Temperature grades, Carbon Fiber grades, Partially aromatic Polyamides.

Idea of high density compounds came out with replacing high density metals such as lead and other metallic materials where density can go upto (11.0 g/cc), delivering the weight and physical properties of metal with the design and production advantages of injection molded plastics. These products has a wide usage area such as sound and vibration dampening, sporting goods, X-ray/radiation shielding, ballasts etc. Easier and cost effective shaping, being corrosion resistant and,resistance to chemicals depending on the polymer are the main advantages of the high density compounds produced by EPSAN. Epsan is an independent compounder which specializes in the production of high performance Polyamide and PPA compounds with 2 plants located in Turkey.
