New management for battenfeld-cincinnati China & turnkey PO pipe lines up to 400 mm| Subj: Press-releses ![]() New CEO and COO for battenfeld-cincinnati China and new Head of Global Sourcing for the battenfeld-cincinnati group In March 2015, two industry experts have joined the battenfeld-cincinnati management team. Mr Toni Bernards was confirmed as CEO and Mr Bruce Lamont as COO of battenfeld-cincinnati’s Chinese subsidiary. In addition, Mr Bernards will also serve as Head of Global Sourcing for the battenfeld-cincinnati group. Mr Bernards (55) was born in Germany and Mr Lamont (56) in Scotland; both of them have held a variety of similar posts and have worked in China for a long time. “We are excited to have Mr Bernards and Mr Lamont on board to strengthen our team. We are sure that their knowledge and experience will help us to expand our market share in Asia and be a benefit both to our local subsidiary and the group as whole,” says Gerold Schley, CEO of the battenfeld-cincinnati group. battenfeld-cincinnati China has been successful with a portfolio of customized extrusion solutions for the Chinese market. They are produced locally using proven European components for high process security, long service life, excellent product quality and low operating costs. Mr Bernards explains: “We have a strong position in the market and an experienced team of engineers and sales people. The market situation is becoming more difficult as overall growth rates in China decrease. However, last year, 75% of customers ordering with us were new customers that chose our machines for their quality and long life-time. This is a good basis from which we will continue to improve our products and services, both for local Chinese customers as well as customers in Asia and other regions.” LeanEX: basic turnkey pipe extrusion line available in four sizes Following customer demand in South East Asia, South America, Africa, the Middle East and Russia, battenfeld-cincinnati China has extended its complete, basic line solution for PO pipes to four sizes: 63, 160, 250 and 400 mm to offer to local customers. The lines are equipped with specially designed LeanEX extruders in one of three sizes: LeanEX 60-30 (output HDPE 350kg/h, PP-R 280kg/h), LeanEX 75-30 (output HDPE 500kg/, PP-R 400kg/h) and LeanEX 90-30 (output HDPE 800kg/h, PP-R 640kg/h). Thanks to the use of European technology and components, LeanEX lines offer high quality and outputs combined with excel-lent performance, lower energy consumption and longer lifetimes. LeanEX turnkey lines are the ideal solution for companies that need a low cost line for small, standard pipe applications. They are offered in a basic package with limited options, a smaller control panel and powerful control system, as well as locally sourced screws, barrels, motor and drive. The pipe heads are from the standard battenfeld-cincinnati helix series. Continued success of efficient pipe, profile and sheet extrusion equipment battenfeld-cincinnati China recently introduced solEX single screw and twinEX twin screw extruders to the local market. These machines are equipped with energy-efficient AC motors and, in combination with gravimetric dosing systems, can save up to 3% material in PE pipe extrusion, while consuming about 200 kWh less than the average local extruder when producing 1 ton of PE pipe. At Chinaplas, the latest models, a solEX 60-40-C and a twinEX 93-28-C will be shown on the booth as part of the extensive portfolio that covers complete pipe extrusion and co-extrusion lines for PB, PVC and PE, but also PE-Xa and possible pipe diameters up to 2,600 mm. Of course, complete lines for profile and sheet extrusion are also available. Superior performance and product quality for thermoform-ing sheet Another topic that is become more interesting for customers in Asia is thermoforming sheet extrusion. Last year, battenfeld-cincinnati sold the fourth innovative sheet line with high-speed extruder and Multi-Touch roll stack in Asia to Chinese company Guangdong Huasheng Plastics Co. Ltd., Shantou. Due to the superior performance of up to 1,400 kg/h and high product quality, this one line replaces four to six of the previously used Chinese lines, thereby saving space and operating cost. The battenfeld-cincinnati line is also flexible and can produce sheet ranging from 350 to 2,500 μm in thickness. Source: battenfeld-cincinnati Previous news |
