After a comprehensive market research on demand for engineering thermoplastics and services, GE Plastics is now proceeding to implement a strategy aimed to provide better service to domestic manufacturers and distributors in the Russian region. According to Anita de Raaff, GE Plastics area manager for Russia, the company has implemented a number of tools to work efficiently with Russian customers in conformity with the latest GE Plastics' technological advancements in products and services. A Russian-language interactive web source and new distribution organization with Sigmaplast are some of the developments that GE Plastics has accomplished. "The company has already established firm business relationships with Russia's leading industrial companies, such as AvtoVAZ, Kompound NN and AZ Group," says de Raaff. "In our view, it is a very important phase of GE Plastics development in the Russian Federation, - says Ron Pollett, GE National Executive. "We do hope that increasingly tight and mutually beneficial relations between the company and its Russian customers and partners will have a positive effect on their financial and economic growth," Ron Pollett concluded. GE Plastics' latest highlight, the new X GEN™ resin technology portfolio, includes the new products offering extreme product capabilities, such as temperature durability, chemical resistance, flame retardance, dimensional stability, surface hardness, weatherability and aesthetics appeal.
