New Management at Zhafir in Germany

After seven years of strategic build-up, Prof. h.c. Helmar Franz is passing on his position as CEO of Zhafir Plastics Machinery GmbH to the operative management level. Steffen Franz and Zhang Bin in their new capacities as Managing Directors will take full responsibility for Zhafir Plastics Machinery in Ebermannsdorf, Germany. Steffen Franz will, at the same time, maintain his position as Technical Director. Zhang Bin, a son of the CEO of Haitian International Zhang Jianming, has obtained an engineering degree in Nottingham/UK and his responsibilities in the new management team will include strengthening the relationships between Zhafir Germany and Zhafir Ningbo as well as with the head office of Haitian International.

Zhafir, with operations in Ebermannsdorf and Ningbo, has experienced positive development with the Venus and Mercury product lines, including double-digit growth rates over the past few years. The development of new opportunities now calls for intensified local operative management. Prof. Helmar Franz remains a shareholder of the Company in Germany and will devote more time in future to his worldwide strategic responsibilities as Chief Strategy Officer and Member of the Board of Haitian International Holdings Co., Ltd. in Ningbo.
