German firms sold 86,000 tonnes of masterbatch last yearGerman firms sold 86,000 tonnes of masterbatch last year German masterbatch producers are meeting 18% of Europe’s requirements, according to the national association which represents 17 companies. Presenting the figures at the Fakuma fair yesterday, the association said that the masterbatch business was growing at between 4% and 6% annually. However, the tonnage of white masterbatch produced has fallen while all others have increased. Comparing figures from 1986 with last year, production of white masterbatch has dropped from 16,800 tonnes to just 9,600 tonnes in 2002. In 2002, the members sold 86,000 tonnes of product with a value E363m, with colour masterbatches representing the largest segment at 28,200 tonnes or E165m. Source: PRW.com Previous news |
