Personnel changes in general management at injection moulding machine manufacturer Sumitomo (SHI) Demag| Subj: Press-releses As from 1st of June 2013, Christian Renners and Andreas Schramm take over responsibility as new managing directors at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. Mr. Shaun Dean resigns as (Chief Operational Officer) of Sumitomo (SHI) Demag and takes up wider responsibilities within Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan. Dipl.-Ing. Christian Renners, Business Unit Manager Sales and After Sales at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, takes over full responsibility as Managing Director (Chief Sales Officer) for Sales, After Sales, Marketing and all Subsidiaries. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Schramm, Manager of Research and Development at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, is appointed (Chief Technical Officer) with full responsibility for R&D, Quality and production of the injection moulding machine manufacturer located in Schwaig near Nuremberg as from 1st June 2013. Dipl.-Ing. Christian Renners (47) has more than 25 years experience in the plastics business. He has accomplished over 10 years of service for the company in Germany and also overseas as technical sales expert in the USA. Since 2009, Mr. Renners has been in charge of the Business Unit Sales and After Sales within Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, overseeing the growth of the global sales and service network under the umbrella of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Schramm (46) joined the company as development engineer in 2001. After occupying a number of positions in the company including product management, head of project planning and head of the customised technical solutions team, he took over as head of Research and Development in 2009. Since then, he has been in charge of product development for Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. In their new positions Christian Renners and Andreas Schramm will work hand in hand with Dr. Tetsuya Okamura (Chief Executive Officer and Senior Vice President of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan) and will thus continue to drive ahead with guiding Sumitomo (SHI) Demag into a future position of global market leadership in the injection moulding business. Mr. Shaun Dean will resign as Chief Operating Officer of Sumitomo (SHI) Demag and return to Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan as from 1st June 2013 where he will take up wider responsibilities within the SHI Group.
