Arburg at the Plagkem 2013 in Slovenia| Subj: Press-releses ![]() Efficient production means achieving optimum product quality at minimum unit cost. For this purpose, all areas and influencing factors must be examined and taken into consideration over the entire value-added chain and an individually customised injection moulding solution configured in each case. Here, examination of the value-added chain begins with product design and extends across mould, machine and peripheral technology, including configuration, through to process integration, process control and production planning. Arburg possesses sound expertise in all of these areas and is able to comprehensively support its customers in the realisation of efficient moulded part production. Cost-effective hydraulic machine technology At the Plagkem, Arburg will present an example from the successful hydraulic Golden Edition machine series and demonstrate that its hydraulic machine range is also continuously being enhanced with regard to production efficiency. One example is the productivity package on the featured Allrounder 470 C Golden Edition with a clamping force of 1,500 kN and size 400 injection unit. The package includes the Arburg energy-saving system (AES) with speed-controlled pump drive and water-cooled drive motor. Here, operation with two regulating pumps, which enable simultaneous machine movements, is rendered even more cost-effective. Advantages of the productivity package include a reduction in energy requirement by up to 20 percent, five percent shorter dry cycle times and minimised emissions. The advantages resulting from use of the productivity package mean that the exhibit bears the Arburg “e²” energy efficiency label. Cost-effective automation solution Furthermore, with this exhibit, Arburg is presenting a combination as a cost-effective, entry-level solution for automated production. The Allrounder 470 C Golden Edition operates with a Multilift Select robotic-system, which performs part handling. The automation solution comprises not only the machine and robotic system, but also a complete production unit including guarding with electrical connections, conveyor belt and CE certification. Boxes with a weight of 33.5 grams will be produced as demonstration parts. The Multilift Select robotic system enters the mould vertically, removes the parts and sets them down on a conveyor belt. In addition to the packaging automation solution presented at the Plagkem, Arburg also acts as a general contractor, designing, implementing and commissioning production cells individually tailored to customer and industry-specific requirements. The worldwide range of products is complemented by expert consulting in all areas of injection moulding and a comprehensive service programme. Source: Arburg Previous news |
