WITTMANN BATTENFELD with “power” at the Interplastica in Moscow| Subj: Press-releses ![]() In terms of technology, the Russian market has undergone a very positive development over the last few years and thus become an excellent market for the machines from WITTMANN BATTENFELD’s PowerSeries. At the Interplastica, a machine from the all-electric EcoPower series will be on display, and also one from the MicroPower series which has been specially developed for injection-molding micro and nano parts. On an EcoPower 180/750, a fitting will be manufactured from ABS with a mold supplied by IFW. On a MicroPower 15/7,5 the production of a micro plug with a part weight of only 3 mg will be shown. The plug housings are manufactured with a 2-cavity mold, then removed by a W8VS2 WITTMANN robot and passed on to a camera integrated in the production cell and in the machine’s control system for quality inspection. The parts are subsequently separated according to cavities and stacked in a stacking module. The machines of the PowerSeries feature high precision, compact design, maximum user-friendliness, a modular concept and high energy efficiency. The EcoPower’s main outstanding feature is its extraordinary energy efficiency. The braking energy of the drives, normally returned to the power supply network by an elaborate process, is completely utilized by the EcoPower within the machine to provide the necessary voltage for the control system and for barrel heating. The MicroPower stands out by its extreme cost-efficiency, process reliability and speed. In this machine generation, the injection aggregate is of special interest. This innovative two-step injection unit, consisting of a screw and a plunger, with a shot volume ranging from 0.05 to 4 cm³, injects thermally homogeneous melt, with the result of premium-quality parts from absolutely stable production with short cycle times.
