Positive customer feedback and high demand for the ELION 3200| Subj: Press-releses The market launch of Netstal's latest ELION 3200 has gone exceptionally well. This new model has proven to be a highly effective solution to the issue of complex molded parts production, especially for customers involved in the manufacture of packaging, closures, medical components and high-precision technical parts. Netstal unveiled the latest model from the successful ELION series at Fakuma 2012. "We are really pleased with the launch of the new ELION 3200. Customer feedback has been very positive and high demand for this tried-and-tested machine series is a ringing endorsement of Netstal's high product quality and expertise," confirms Dr. Hans Ulrich Golz, CEO of Netstal. Machines from the ELION series have always been modular in design, making them very easy to adapt to customer requirements. In this case, the electrically driven clamping unit has been combined with a hydraulic high-precision injection unit that has also featured in the EVOS series. The result of this combination is a machine that is perfectly suited to customer requirements, particularly in terms of performance and energy efficiency. "While feedback from the packaging industry has been especially outstanding, we have also had a positive response from customers who are in the medical sector and companies who manufacture high-precision technical parts," says Golz. The high-performance injection unit, which is also used in our EVOS series, is able to reach injection speeds of up to 2,000 mm/s at extreme levels of acceleration thanks to its innovative dual-valve technology. Thin-walled packaging parts can be formed in filling times of under 0.1 seconds. This level of injection performance means that it is possible to minimize material use and reduce cycle times. "This is clearly proved by our customers' decreased production costs," says Golz. The combination of different drive technologies requires an optimized drive concept adapted to their requirements. Netstal's drive unit, the innovative Eco Powerunit, takes full advantage of the energy-saving potential of hydrid technology. In comparison to conventional, hydraulically driven toggle lever machines, the ELION hybrid reduces energy consumption by up to 50 percent at a level of performance that simply cannot be matched by all-electric machines.
