Plastic pipes in China develop rapidly

At the end of 2000, there were over 3000 production lines of plastic pipe in China, with a throughput of 2 million tons. Plastic pipes for room-inner of construction and underground of cities became investment hotspots.

During the 10th five-year, with the development of city construction, information industry, electric power, all kinds of water supply,
drainage, gas supply pipes, sleeve for communication use and electric power use will need a large amount of such pipes.

It is said the popularized materials will be UPVC and PE while manufacturers are sourcing new materials for pipe making. By 2005, plastic pipe will occupy 50 per cent of the market.
