Plastic Omnium to adjust its automotive production base in Germany| Subj: Press-releses The decline in the European automobile market and the carmakers industrial strategies have led to persistent excess production capacity in Western Europe. Given this environment, Plastic Omnium has launched a restructuring project of its automotive business in Germany. The Company announced today its intention of discontinuing the production of bumpers at its Eisenach-Thuringia plant in Germany, which currently has circa 200 employees. Local management has started consultations with employee representatives. The measure does not affect the plant’s fuel tank/fuel system operations.
