Arburg at the Interplastica 2013 in Moscow : Focus on production efficiency| Subj: Press-releses At the Interplastica, which will take place from 29 January to 1 February 2013 in Moscow, Arburg will focus on the topic of production efficiency. In this regard, a representative of its high-performance Allrounder Hidrive machine series will be presented on exhibition stand FC45 in the forum. A hybrid Allrounder 570 H in the “Packaging” version will produce two thin-walled yoghurt tubs in a cycle time of 3.5 seconds. Furthermore, this exhibit also features the Selogica “Set-up Assistant” module, which enables quick set-up of the Allrounder, significantly reducing downtimes and increasing the cost-effectiveness of production. Efficient production means achieving optimum quality at minimum unit cost. For this purpose, all areas and influencing factors must be examined and taken into consideration over the entire value-added chain and an individually customised injection moulding solution configured in each case. Here, examination of the value-added chain begins with product design and extends across mould, machine and peripheral technology, including configuration, through to process integration, process control and production planning. Arburg possesses sound expertise in all of these areas and is able to comprehensively support its customers in the realisation of efficient moulded part production. At the Interplastica, Arburg will present a highly sophisticated application for the packaging sector. The machine belongs to the high-performance hybrid Hidrive series, which is characterised by high productivity, speed and energy efficiency, and covers a clamping force range from 600 to 5,000 kN. The exhibit, an Allrounder 570 H in the “Packaging” version, is adapted to the application-specific requirements of the packaging sector and features a clamping force of 1,800 kN and a size 800 injection unit. The high performance of this machine will be impressively demonstrated with a high-speed packaging application at the trade fair. The exhibit is equipped with a two-cavity mould and will produce thin-walled yoghurt tubs with a moulded part weight of 9.5 grams in a cycle time of 3.5 seconds. The Allrounder 570 H in the "Packaging" version not only produces high-quality packaging items in short cycle times and therefore also cost-effectively. Thanks to the Selogica “Set-up Assistant” module, the Allrounder can also be set up quickly and reliably – from installation of the mould through to the finished sequence. This reduces downtimes and increases production efficiency. As a simple human/machine interface, the Set-up Assistant enables menu-guided set-up and “teach-in” of the entire injection moulding machine sequence, including the robotic system. The installation technician is actively supported during the process. Because the step-by-step guidance for all the necessary actions reduces parameter entry to the absolute essentials, Allrounders can be set up in a very short time. Detailed knowledge of the control system is not necessary. Source: Arburg Previous news |
