iPlast commissioned an injection molding machine with clamping force of 5500 tons| Subj: Press-releses Engel 5500, the injection molding machine with clamping force of 5500 tons, which happens to be the biggest machine operated in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, was activated on the 11th of September in iPlast Ltd. by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Tatarstan Republic. The official start-up of the giant molding machine launched 1100 liter waste containers into mass production. The new product is an import substitution, as all large-size waste containers used to be imported to Russia from Europe prior commissioning of the Engel 5500. Investments into the new production made 468 million Rubles. The yearly revenue from implementation of the given project is expected to reach 1 billion Rubles by the year of 2014. As Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov marked in his speech, «iPlast is becoming a company of the global level. A few years ago we made it an aim to process the whole volume of polymers produced in our republic. Today’s event is a substantial step in reaching the set goal, — underlined the head of Tatarstan. – In five years iPlast will process 80,000 tons of polymers». According to Rustam Minnikhanov, waste containers are in demand in Russia. «Being not inferior to their foreign analogues in terms of quality, the new containers are cheaper and they are „home-made“. We have gathered here today mayors of our cities in order to offer the product to them. We will strive to promote this product all across the country», declared the President of Tatarstan. The head of the Tatarstan Republic expressed his confidence in further application of iPlast products in defense, automotive and aircraft industries. The President of Tatarstan congratulated the employees of the company with the remarkable event. A special word of gratitude was said by the President to the general manager of «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» JSC Vladimir Bousygin for his support in implementation of the projects of polymers processing. Among honored guests who shared the momentous event of starting up Engel 5500, symbolizing the beginning of mass production of waste containers, iPlast welcomed Peter Neumann, the president of «Engel Holding GmbH», Mario Haidlmair, the president of «Haildlmair GmbH», mayors of Tatarstan towns and cities, heads of republican ministries and governmental agencies of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. The symbolic start button of the molding machine was pressed by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, Peter Neumann, the president of «Engel Austria GmbH» and Sergey Donguzov, the Chairman of the Board of iPlast. Three minutes after the button was pushed a new plastic container was removed from the mold. The head of Tatarstan and the guests had a chance to see the demonstration of dumping out the new polymeric waste container into a special garbage-truck. Such trucks are already operated in Nizhnekamsk.
