MAUSER Opens New Plant in China| Subj: Press-releses MAUSER Group, a worldwide leading company in industrial packaging, is pleased to announce that it has opened a new site in China. The increased customer demand in the Asian Pacific region has prompted MAUSER to expand its global footprint once again. Christian Schaedlich has been appointed SBU Manager Asia Pacific and has been given the directive to pursue MAUSER’s highly successful growth strategy in the Asian market. The Asian industrial packaging industry is of vital importance for MAUSER. The accelerated growth rate in Asian countries has resulted in a demand for high-quality packaging solutions. In order to better meet the requirements of its customers in the region, MAUSER has invested 15 million Euros and opened a new site in Jiangyin, China. The MAUSER Jiangyin plant will produce Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), 210-liter L-Ring and open top drums, as well as 210-liter steel drums. This is the only plant in China that manufactures PE- and steel drums as well as IBCs. As SBU Manager Asia Pacific, Christian Schaedlich will be responsible for the expansion and strategic alignment of all of MAUSER’s Asian businesses from the company’s office in Shanghai. He succeeds Hans-Peter Schaefer, who was appointed as CEO of MAUSER Group in February 2012, and will also report directly to him. Christian Schaedlich has been in senior management positions throughout Asia for the past 20 years. Prior to joining MAUSER, he was CFO at Wacker Chemicals in Greater China.
