Tessenderlo Group confirms inspection at Nyloplast

On Wednesday 11 July 2012, the European Commission issued a press release on an investigation it conducts in the Plastic Pipes Market. We confirm that the European Commission has indeed carried out an inspection at one (and one only) of our small subsidiaries, Nyloplast that produces plastic fittings in the Netherlands. Nyloplast fully cooperated with the Authorities during this inspection.

We are currently assessing the situation and cannot give further information at this stage.There is nothing to indicate that the impact will be similar to that of the phosphates cartel.Tessenderlo Group is a worldwide specialty company, focused on food, agriculture, water management and on valorizing bio-residuals. The group employs about 7,500 people and is a leader in most of its markets, with a consolidated revenue of 2.1 billion EUR in 2011.
