“Kaustik” and “POLIEF” are overgrown with free economic areas

Upon an initiative of Bashkortostan, around the big enterprises of region, i.e. JSC “Kaustik” (Bashkhim) and JSC “POLIEF” (82,5%company’s shares are owned to Sibur Holding, 17,5% – to the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan), industrial zones (industrial parks) are created. Enterprises, which are formed around the new objects of industrial and innovative infrastructure, will support to the converters of raw materials.

The nomenclature of the final products is under discussion. These are polymer pipes for cold and hot water-supply, cable compound, WPC (wood-polymer compounds), polyelectrolytes “Kaustimin-15” and water-soluble cationic WPK-402 (for water delivery system application) grade, – it’s specified in the Press service of “Bashkhim”. It’s expected, that JSC “Kaustik” (Sterlitamak), having so far 200TMT/Y capacity of PVC production, which were reached after the reconstruction in 2009, will proceed to increase it: at the first stage – up to 400TMT/Y and at the second stage – up to 600TMT/Y.

Evgeniy Mavrin/Minister of Economic Affairs of RB told reporters that the projects implementation to create the industrial parks is aimed to development of the small and middle business/enterprises, to accomplishment of the social programs, and also to meet the region demand in polymeric products.
In order to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the production process of the industrial park, JSC “POLIEF” will provide the entire infrastructure (electricity, heat power, etc).

The required investment volume for the industrial park based on “POLIEF” accounts to about 200 mln Rub. Funding for the projects to create park will be carried out on public-private partnership. The Government of Bashkortostan does not specify how the partner shares will be divided, noting that “everything is under discussion stage”. The region leaders and the representatives of cluster-forming enterprises are planning to submit their proposals to the International Forum “BOLSHAYA KHIMIYA”, which will be held in Ufa, on 17-18th of May.
