Successful première for High-Tex from Germany in Russia| Subj: Press-releses The High-Tex from Germany special exhibition has thrown open the gates to the Russian market. Within the framework of Techtextil Russia in Moscow – the 56 German companies and institutes taking part in High-Tex from Germany presented a multi-faceted range of applications for technical textiles to around 3,800 trade visitors. Ernst Burgbacher, Parliamentary Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie – BMWi) and Representative of the German Government for Small to Medium Sized Businesses, was able to see this for himself. After the opening of the fair, he said, “In my discussions with the highly specialised exhibitors of High-Tex from Germany, I could see that many of Germany’s small to medium-sized textile companies have come to Russia at the right time and place. In view of this, the German government will continue to support small to medium sized companies on their way into this demanding market. To this end, taking part in events outside Germany is an important and effective method.” The concept of High-Tex from Germany, which was developed by the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry (Gesamtverband textil + mode) in 2000 and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (Messeausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. – AUMA), was a complete success. Exhibition President Peter Schwartze, President of ‘textil+mode’ said, “High-Tex from Germany offers the right concept for companies wanting to gain a foothold in the world’s expanding markets. In Moscow, the exhibitors were able make contact with customers quickly and hold promising discussions. Once again, we were able to show just how efficient the German textile industry is. We will stick with this concept and open up more attractive markets in the future.” Exhibitors and visitors pleased with the results Bernd Fischer, Director Sales & Marketing, Nextrusion GmbH, is also satisfied with the course of business at the fair. “As the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality monofilaments, we wanted to get to know the Russian market better because Russia holds out the promise of growth in the field of industrial textiles. This is why we took part in High-Tex from Germany and made careful preparations for Russian customers. And we were successful in this because we came into contact with around 50 new and existing customers.” Additionally, he found the concept of High-Tex from Germany to be spot on: “The pavilion represented really good value for us by enabling us to present our products in Moscow with relatively little effort. The exhibition-stand concept was modern and very appealing.” With 192 exhibitors, including the 56 participants of High-Tex from Germany, Techtextil Russia was characterised by an increase of over 45 percent in exhibitor numbers, as well as around 30 percent more visitors in comparison to the previous event. The combination of Techtextil und High-Tex from Germany is a guarantee for satisfied visitors. “It is simply unbeatable. Exhibitors and visitors can make optimum use of the synergies and profit from the biggest spectrum of products and services ever to be seen at Techtextil Russia. Trade visitors awarded the three-day fair top marks”, said Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt. The fair and exhibition company was commissioned with organising the fourth High-Tex from Germany on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Great interest was also shown in the research and development side of technical textiles and nonwovens whereby textil+mode’s concept of holding a symposium within the framework of the exhibition once again proved to be exactly right. Summarising, Dr Klaus Jansen, Director of the Textile Research Council (Forschungskuratorium Textil), said, “The eleven subjects covered by the symposium were well chosen with the lectures on surface functionality and new materials proving to be particularly popular. Many of the discussions were very intensive and will also lead to a continued exchange of information between Russian and German experts after the fair.” Prof Thomas Gries, Director of the Institute for Technical Technology (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University, added: “As one of Germany’s leading institutes for textile machinery and technical textiles, we wanted to present the latest results of our work in the field of composites for automobile manufacturing. Numerous members of the audience were very interested and discussed a variety of issues with us after the lecture. At High-Tex from Germany, we have been able to cultivate existing business relationships and make new contacts, including to other exhibitors.” Source: Messe Frankfurt Previous news |
