ALBIS PLASTIC expands its thermoplastics product range in Russia

The German based distributor ALBIS PLASTIC expands its thermoplastics product range in Russia with polystyrene from TOTAL PETROCHEMICALS.

On the occasion of the INTERPLASTICA fair (January 24th through 27th, 2012 in Moscow, www.interplastica.ru) bothcompanies announced their collaboration in the Russian market.

ALBIS successfully operates its local subsidiary in Russia since 2007. With the new distribution appointment both companies are looking forward to satisfy the growing demand for high quality polystyrene in the local processing industry, such as packaging, construction, household and electrical appliances.

Total Petrochemicals encompasses the petrochemicals activities of Total, one of the most leading multinational energy companies.Its business includes base petrochemicals from steam crackers and certain refinery processing plants – olefins (ethylene,propylene), C4 fractions and aromatics (benzene, toluene, xylenes and styrene) –, as well as the commodity polymers derived fromthem (polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene). Total Petrochemicals employs about 6,000 persons in Europe, the United States,the Middle East and Asia. Its products are used in many consumer and industrial markets, including packaging, construction andautomotive.
