Bilcare Solutions announced a price increase for pigmented films

Bilcare Solutions (Germany), the Films business of India’s Bilcare, has announced a price increase of at least 3% for pigmented films, effective 1 December 2011. In July this year, Bilcare Solutions had called for a hike of at least 5% for its films.

In the past few weeks, several titanium dioxide manufacturers have touted price hikes, including DuPont, Tronox, Huntsman, Kronos and Cristal Global. In addition, a glitch at the latter’s TiO₂ plant in Stallingborough has taken out its line there and it remains unclear how long the site will be offstream.
