Styrolution declares force majeure

Due to a fire that occurred in a part of the Styrolution production network in Ludwigshafen, Germany on Oct. 23, Styrolution Group GmbH declared Force Majeure for certain specialty product grades. The prescribed emergency procedures and shutdown processes were followed, but a serious interruption of our activities could not be avoided.

This incident affected directly or indirectly essential basic materials for the following products:LURAN (SAN), LURAN HH (AMSAN), TERLUX (MABS),TERLURAN HH (ABS HH), LURAN S (certain grades), LUSTRAN (certain grades).

The affected part of the production facility has been shut down for further investigation as to the cause of the incident and for repairs. The impact of this incident is currently under review.
