Svetlogorsk PA Khimvolokno : 38.5 thousand tones of polyester yarns a year

In accordance with the plan of development RUE "Svetlogorsk PA "Khimvolokno" in a phased manner carry out reconstruction and modernization of the production of polyester filament yarns. The first stage was completed in 2009, total output rose to 30 thousand tones per year. In particular, the equipment for the production of composite fibers, equilibrium polyester yarns, KDK-yarns, fancy yarns, air-entangled with the different strength of the entangling, FDY yarns has been put into operation. The technology of producing dyed yarns on perforated polypropylene cartridges has been implemented.

In 2010 the implementation of the second phase of the reconstruction has been conducted. The first delivery of new spinning lines to RUE "SPA "Khimvolokno" was in mid-August 2010. The new equipment can significantly increase productivity, expand the range and significantly improve the quality characteristics of the products. Modern spinning machinery is focused on the production of different titles of yarns on one spinning line simultaneously. If we have previously made no more than 10 ranges of yarns, then today, after the implementation of the reconstruction, there are up to 24 ranges, except dopedyed yarns.

Currently, the work on assembling new texturing machines is carried out with the participation of specialists of Japanese firms «Marubeni TEKMATEX Corporation» and «TMT Machinery, Inc». Besides, air-conditioning system, the existing suspension transportation system, quality control, sorting and packaging of products, logistics and warehousing are reconstructed.

In full the investment project will be completed by the end of 2011. The reconstruction will allow RUE “SPA “Khimvolokno” to increase the amount of output to 38 500 tons of polyester filament yarn per year, considerably improve the quality and the assortment of the products, effectively use existing production facilities and infrastructure.

Today "Svetlogorsk" polyester yarn is widely known and is in demand on the world market. The geography of export of this product covers about 20 countries. The quality management system complies with international standard ISO 9001-2001, the quality of the yarns is confirmed by the international environmental certificate for compliance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
