Carbon black polystyrene masterbatches introducedCarbon black polystyrene masterbatches introduced Hubron Manufacturing has introduced a full range of well-dispersed carbon black polystyrene masterbatches. The company says that the range includes a premium grade for glossy black sheet and mouldings (PSB276), an easy diluting 50% loaded grade (PSB313) and a powerful, but economical grade (PSB183). Hubron says that these grades are used in electrical applications by household OEMs. The company adds that the black masterbatch can be employed instead of black polystyrene compounds, resulting in cost savings, without loss in dispersion or physical properties. Most of the range has approval for food applications in Europe and a FDA compliant grade has recently been launched. This grade (PSB380) is a 25% loaded masterbatch that is suitable for injection moulding and sheet extrusion. The company adds that another benefit of the range of masterbatches is that it can be used successfully in ABS sheet and mouldings, without the need to buy more expensive ABS masterbatches.
