Salavatnefteorgsintez : new pyrolysis furnace

Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC (SNOS) starts new pyrolysis furnace construction aspart of its project of the existing EP-300 facilities' step-by-step capacitybuildup up to 380 tsd t/y as per ethylene.

At present, a contract for the construction works is being discussed withLummus Technology (the Netherlands).

The company has been working with Lummus Technology since 2003. It was withtheir cooperation that Furnaces No. 5 and 6 of EP-300 were successively replacedby up-to-date ones with enhanced selectivity and better performance factors.

The new furnace at the Monomerplant is to be complete by 2012. On the whole, the investment programme ofEP-300 capacity buildup up to 380 tsd t/y as per ethylene embraces the periodup to 2014.
