MECMAN Industrial, S.L. to represent Sumitomo (SHI) Demag in Spain| Subj: Press-releses The manufacturer of injection moulding machines Sumitomo (SHI) Demag of Schwaig/Germany will be represented in Spain by Mecman Industrial, S.L. from now on. The exclusive agency agreement covers the distribution and after-sales service of injection moulding machines in Spain, and will become operative with immediate effect. During the crisis in the polymer processing industry, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag has further strengthened its distribution and after-sales service networks in Spain. Through the merger with Mecman in Sentmenat, Barcelona, a partner has been found who has earned itself an outstanding reputation in the field of engineering services for decades. The owner-managed company by the name of Mecman has a workforce of more than 40 employees and can rely on extensive knowledge in the field of automation engineering and the design of machinery and equipment. Mecman operates its own machining workshop, and is specialized in performing even the most complex work on site at the customer's premises. Customers include major corporations and medium-sized companies from sectors such as the automobile industry, the packaging or medical engineering sectors. The intention behind this move is to support the current customer base through a reinforced team of experts on site. In addition to support of the injection moulding machines business, Mecman is also competent to deal with any engineering issues that may arise in an injection moulding workshop, specifically with regard to the servicing or maintenance of resources or means of production. "These are the best conditions for a competent and promising cooperation with Mecman", Christian Renners, the Chief Marketing Officer at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, says happily. With this strategic reorientation, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag intends to go in for more canvassing on the Spanish market again. Mecman will offer the whole range of services that have been rendered by Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery, S.L. previously. Some experienced staff has already been taken over from the subsidiary company of Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, which had been shut down in July 2010, with a view to acquiring the required specific know-how.
