Albemarle to Increase Prices of SAYTEX RB-49 and SAYTEX 8010 Brominated Flame Retardants

Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) announced today that it will increase the base prices on select SAYTEX(R) brominated flame retardants on or after July 1, 2010, or as contracts allow:

SAYTEX(R) RB-49 (tetrabromophthalic anhydride) by $0.65/kg globally

SAYTEX(R) 8010 (decabromodiphenyl ethane) by $0.60/kg on all Asia shipments
