Polyvanced : Industry demands “green” tubing

Sustainability, environmental protection and health are now burning issues. Analyses prove the case: renewable energies, organic food, fair trade clothing and green products are in ever-increasing demand. Polyvanced has also made an issue of this clear trend. The company is developing tubing on the basis of “green raw materials”. “We are producing individual products in partnership with our customers. We are doing this intentionally without using a standard range”, Robert Mayr states.

The polyvanced green line: the polyol components for polyurethane tubing are being produced from corn sugar or rapeseed oil. The raw material for polyamide 11 is castor oil. In addition there are polyamides comprised to 100 percent from biological resources. We have a further example of environmentally friendly tubing in the polyethylene tubes. There are now polyethylene types produced on a basis of ethanol obtained from sugar cane. “The product characteristics are comparable with those of other standard commercial types. We are still conducting tests covering the various planned applications”, Robert Mayr says. The new environmentally friendly range is characterised by the highest in flexibility and economy. “This is how we succeed in fulfilling our customers’ requirements and specifications for products of the highest quality that are also economically efficient”, Robert Mayr emphasises.

“An essential prerequisite for the long-term success of the polyvanced brand is our permanent further development of equipment and manufacturing processes”, Dr. Mayr says. Remarkable material processing competences have made polyvanced GmbH the performance leader in the industry and put the company in a class of its own compared with other producers. In addition polyvanced gives priority to continual further development of its quality and environmental management systems. Polyvanced also stands for reliability, flexibility, motivated commitment and innovation.
