Total Petrochemicals enlarges its metallocene polyethylene product range with a new black grade for rotomoulded fuel tanks
Building further on its existing metallocene polyethylene grade range, Total Petrochemicals renews its commitment to the rotational moulding industry by launching a new black compound grade with high fluidity specifically designed for fuel tanks applications, M3581B S01.
“This grade has already demonstrated its excellence in this application thanks to its combination of easy flow and high mechanical properties”, confirms Eric Maziers, technical manager of Rotational Moulding with Total Petrochemicals. “Extensive testing has shown that the new resin complies with all the application requirements”. Total Petrochemicals provides the necessary approvals (TÜV) for this resin and others in its product range.
M3581B S01 delivers all the benefits of Total Petrochemicals proprietary new generation metallocene catalysts and Advanced Double Loop bimodal process. It combines outstanding processability (fast sintering & densification) with superior mechanical properties (cold impact & environmental stress cracking resistance) as well as excellent dimensional stability.
As for all Total Petrochemicals metallocene resins, the grinding step benefits from a throughput increase and significant energy savings up to 20% when compared to traditional LLDPE resins, irrespective of the comonomer used.
M3581B S01 is part of the Total Petrochemicals polyethylene product range that also includes metallocene polyethylene resins for film, blow moulding, artificial grass and caps & closures applications.
