Sterile Packaging Created for Formulation without Preservatives
Promens has launched a closure system for packaging that makes it possible to preserve a sterile cosmetic formula without preservatives.
Promens has worked with French skincare brand Avène Dermatological Laboratories for eight years to develop the sterile closure.
This new packaging makes it possible to formulate products without preservatives in a large size tube and ensure the consumer a practical use, compared to monodoses, unidoses and single doses packaging. The D.E.F.I. (exclusive intact formula device) distribution system guarantees the product remains sterile throughout its life even after opening.
The four-piece cap includes a membrane that rises when the tube is squeezed and resumes its normal position when pressure is released from the tube. These are high-precision parts manufactured to one hundredth of a millimetre. They provide cohesion with the entire unit. Finally, the lid is perfectly sized to the cap (no gaps) and closed with a tamper-proof clip removed when the tube is first opened.
