RadiciGroup: a new TPE and polyethylene compound production site in Italy

RadiciGroup has strengthened its plastics production capability by adding a new manufacturing unit, Radici Elastomeri Srl, a company located in Provaglio d’Iseo (BS), Italy. In operation since 2008, the new company manufactures thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) marketed under the brandname Heraflex® and polyethylene compounds under the brand name Radilene®.

RadiciGroup SEBS, SBS and elastomeric polyolefin (PE – PP) TPEs are used for applications in the automotive, sports, household and construction sectors. The complete product range includes Heraflex® A – SEBS compounds with low odour emission and good light stability for automotive applications, houseware, tool handles and seals –, Heraflex® B – SBS compounds with high mechanical performance and resistance to high temperatures for technical applications not exposed to weather conditions –, Heraflex® P – elastomeric polyolefins, ideal for applications in the sportswear (ski boots, skates and other winter footwear), furnishings and automotive sectors –, and Heraflex® E – TPE-C thermoplastic elastomer copolyester.

RadiciGroup’s Radilene® polyethylene compounds include four types of products used for applications in the construction sector (conduit, plumbing pipe, steel pipe coating and waste pipe) and artificial grass sector (synthetic turf infill): Radilene®R 30, low-density polyethylene compounds (LDPEs), Radilene®R 31, linear low-density polyethylene compounds (LLDPEs), Radilene®R 70, high-density polyethylene compounds (HDPEs) and, lastly, Radilene®R 71, medium-density polyethylene compounds (MDPEs).

Heraflex® and Radilene® performance characteristics can meet the requirements of the most diverse sectors – industrial, automotive, furnishings, sports, synthetic turf, and electric/electronic – that require reliable and safe products of high quality.

RadiciGroup has operated in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) field in Germany since the early 1990s producing styrene-based elastomers for automotive use. With the new productions site in Provaglio d’Iseo, Italy, the Group is now in a position to broaden its existing portfolios of Heraflex® and Radilene®R plastics.
