Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik offers custom-made solutions for large-diameter pipe

Ñòàíäàðòíûå ëèíèè baseBEX äëÿ ïðîèçâîäñòâà ïðîôèëåé êîìïàíèè BattenfeldAt the Interplastica 2009 in Moscow, Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik GmbH, based in Bad Oeynhausen / Germany, is presenting itself once more as an expert partner to the pipe and profile manufacturing industry. In addition to custom-made complete lines, the German machine manufacturer offers technically mature standardized solutions at prices up to 30% below conventional levels.

Especially for the production of window profiles and profiles for the building industry, Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik supplies the techBEX line to make small profiles, and its big sister baseBEX to manufacture medium-sized profiles. The techBEX is available either with a 45-mm single-screw extruder with an output of 40 kg/h, or a 60 mm-extruder for up to 60 kg/h in output, according to the customer’s choice. The downstream equipment, consisting of a calibration table, belt haul-off, cut-off knife, saw and tilting table is perfectly coordinated as a single unit. In the baseBEX line, a parallel twin-screw extruder with a screw diameter of 90 mm is used, covering a performance range from 100 to 250 kg/h. Depending on the application, processors can choose between a 7.5-m and an 11-m calibration table. The haul-off and cutting unit includes a caterpillar haul-off, a laminating station and a saw.

In Moscow, Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik will also present information about its enormous know-how in the field of large-diameter pipe extrusion lines. For pipes with diameters of up to 2,000 mm, the German machine manufacturer is the recognized market leader with a 70% market share. For the production of large-diameter pipes, complete lines are on offer which are perfectly laid out for coping with such enormous dimensions, from material feeding to finished pipe handling. In addition to the extruder, which must deliver the high output with optimal product homogeneity, the die and the complete downstream equipment, including swarfless cutting, must also be designed to handle large-diameter pipes with wall thicknesses of up to 120 mm. Large-diameter pipe extrusion lines from Bad Oeynhausen stand out by their great reliability in production with minimal downtime and reject rates.
