CJSC Crimea TITAN is carrying out pilot testing of new product

Soon CJSC Crimea TITAN will start producing a new product – TiO2 grade CRIMEA CR-071.

A pilot lot has been produced for carrying out of industrial testing and sending samples to the prospective consumers. The new grade is being developed first of all for water-based paint manufacturers. This product is characterized by improved optical and colour features.

The water-based coatings market is growing every year. Herewith there is a tendency to product ramp-down of organic solvent-based paints (in particular, all interior coatings are changed to water-based paints, that is related to ecological and safety requirements). The new product has the following features: firstly it has improved dispersibility in water-based dispersions; secondly it has higher tinting strength, improved hiding power and low oil absorption; these features meet the requirements of major segment of water-based coatings market.

The realization of idea of CRIMEA CR-071 development started in 2006’s second half. Since that time R&D activities and full-scale laboratory research have been carried out. Also CRIMEA CR-071 production process chart has been worked out.
