Polymer Chemical Company B.V. now officially renamed Elastogran B.V.

With effect from 1 October 2007 the integration of the Polymer Chemical Company B.V. (PCC) into the Elastogran Group has been formally completed by renaming the enterprise, Elastogran B.V. In future, the polyurethane system-house, located in Boxtel (The Netherlands), will function as the twelfth branch of the BASF-subsidiary Elastogran, thus strengthening the European network of the Elastogran system houses operating close to their customers in the Benelux region.

Several strategic goals have been achieved by establishing Elastogran B.V. Current PCC customers will now benefit from Elastogran’s excellent level of service. Other advantages of the Elastogran system-house concept include improved product availability, greater delivery reliability, a larger product portfolio and the facilities of BASF-PU-research activities world-wide. Our customers will also benefit from our comprehensive local customer care with its fast technical support whilst also being looked after by their familiar contacts in the company. Elastogran has incorporated the whole of the highly experienced PCC team of PU specialists. In the medium term there will be innovations, particularly concerning brand names. In close co-operation with our customers and based upon extensive testing, including product safety, current PCC product labels will gradually be converted into the Elastogran brands, ranging from Elastopor to Elastoshore. Until this process has been completed, PCC and Elastogran brand names will be used in parallel.

The acquisition of PCC and the foundation of Elastogran B.V. was based on two core principles: firstly, the intensification of existing close customer relations and secondly, the continuation of the development of both customer-oriented polyurethane systems and PU technologies.

The resulting even wider product range together with the experienced workforce following its incorporation into the network of the highly successful Elastogran-Group will sustainably strengthen the position of Elastogran B.V., and the whole Group, in the attractive Benelux market and thus its role as market leader in the field of polyurethane (PU) systems in Europe.

PCC was founded in 1976 and has since operated as an independent system-house mainly producing rigid polyurethane foam systems and spray coatings. Elastogran took over the enterprise at the end of March 2007. Elastogran B.V., whose 10,000 sqm site is located in Boxtel near Tilburg, employs approximately 30 staff.
