Clariant Masterbatches UK has rationalised its range of universal masterbatches supplied under the Omnicolor banner and now offers immediate delivery of 80 of the most popular formulations.
Omnicolor is based on a multi purpose compatible carrier system and can be used with virtually any polymer at an average let-down ratio of 100:1. This figure is one quarter of the 25:1 ratio typical for other colorants, notes the Wigan-based member of the market leading Clariant group. As a result of this low usage ratio, the masterbatch represents a versatile and cost effective option, the company says.
In addition to the 80 stock Omnicolor masterbatches, a further 117 standard colours can be supplied in seven working days in quantities down to just 50 kilos. Colours and special effects outside the stock range can be readily customer formulated using the same multi purpose carrier system.
All Omnicolor masterbatches are cadmium- and heavy metal-free, and all stock colours meet UK and European food contact and toy application requirements for their intended applications.
