Mipac moulds packaging for ice-cream amongst other items

Superfos has acquired Swedish plastic packaging group Mipac for an undisclosed amount. Superfos, headquartered in Denmark, said the acquisition “strengthens its platform for future growth”. The purchase forms part of Superfos’ strategy to grow its position as a leading supplier of packaging solutions to the retail food market.

Mipac was only established in 2002, since when its annual turnover has rapidly increased to more than Skr200m and pre-tax profit of Skr46m. The company has one production facility in Mullsjц, Sweden, and employs 65 people. Injection moulded packaging for ice-cream producers accounts for a large share of Mpiac’s business.
