Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola share insight into enhanced barrier PET bottle options
Leading experts from the world’s top beverage brands will discuss the latest innovations in enhanced barrier PET bottle technology at the fourth Barrier PET Bottles 2007 conference next month.
Speaker line-up for this year’s conference include Coca-Cola Europe director of environmental health & safety Cees van Dongen and Pepsi-Cola International regional supply chain and packaging innovation director Khaled Arafa.
Dr J Andre de Barros Teixeira, European vice president of new product development at V8 health drink brand owner Campbell Soup Company, will also address delegates.
Underlining the high level of interest from across the bottled beverage industry in barrier enhancing technologies, registered delegates already include senior representatives from Britvic, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Nestle Waters and Pepsi-Cola.
Packaging producers signed up for the event include Alpla, Autobar, Bericap, PET Verpackungen, SIG Combibloc and Sodripack, who will be joined by a long list of leading technology providers, including APIT Corporation, Futura Polyesters, Husky, Plasmatreat, Sidel and SIPA.
Organised by European Plastics News, Barrier PET Bottles is the only event to focus exclusively on the challenges of achieving the enhanced barrier performance required for beer, CSDs, carbonated water, juices and sensitive drink packaging.
